There is nothing wrong at all for the beginner in digital photography, or for the advanced digital image persons to look for digital cameras best buys.  After all in good, or soft economic times it only makes good sense to look for quality at savings.  When shopping for good digital cameras, digital cameras zoom, camera equipment, or any of a number of digital photography items price vs. quality are often points of consideration.  Generally speaking quality for a better price can be found on line and not in the brick and motor photography shops.  Considering, also, that today’s online information centers offer you great support having that touchy/fealy need of a personal adviser is not nearly as important as it was years ago.  So lets get started and take a look at some considerations.

Mega-pixels …The greater the mega-pixels equals the more dots per square inch.  That’s tech talk for picture quality and you sure gotta have them mega-pixels.  Typically the more the better, but you do not need to go overboard.  Not long ago, and I am talking two or three years, four mega-pixels was a high end camera.  Today I am not even sure if you can find a digital camera with that few.  I was looking for fun the other day and came across some inexpensive digital cameras, and I’m talking for less than fifty dollars, 9.0 mega pixels and even a 8x zoom.  Keep in mind when shopping that how good is too good.  For most of us when we get above 10 or so mega-pixels we are plenty good and may want to put more of our money into the digital cameras zoom, or looking at great looking slim digital cameras which are now also very nicely priced online.

Ask yourself when looking what you are planning to use the camera for.  If you are just starting out in digital photography don’t buy the best off the start.  Look for a lower priced digital camera, but make sure it has a few goodies.  I would encourage you look for a stronger zoom, be sure it can mount on a camera tripod, and look for some varied light settings.  These features allow you to take some great general photography shots and lets’ you get the feel for what photography is really about.  As you become more comfortable with digital photography, and all of the fun you can have with it, then you can move up to the more advanced equipment.  By all means if your are already at that level we can also help in that area.

What are digital cameras best buys?  Well, make out your list before you open the doors to the virtual mall.  Ask yourself at least some of these questions:  What is my experience level.  Am I going to need to take photos using Digital Camera Zoom Lenses.  Just consider this, if you are just stating to look consider the less expensive, but still good digital cameras.  If you are look for style you may want to look at some fairly priced slim digital cameras.  Are you going to be taking shots that require faster shutter action, or quicker response time between pictures.  Will your subject be close more often, or further away much of the time.  (Digital cameras zoom can bring the distant shot much closer.)  Oh, and what is your starting, and maximum budget.  Good digital cameras do not have to break the bank and remember your digital cameras best buys will most likely be found on line and not on the street.  Good shopping and stay tuned for more digital photography tips.
