How To Select Your Digital Photo Frame

You have many options to consider.  When it gets down to it you will likely want more than one Digital Photo Frame.  The photo frame is being integrated more and more into the overall decor and personality of the home.  It is no longer simply put on a side table to be enjoyed only by the homes occupants.  Therefore, your many choices should afford you any number of decorating options.  Lets’ take a few minutes with Grey Fox and get the beginning of your shopping list.

Screen Size and Resolution

For each photo frame you are considering give consideration to how far the frame will be from the viewing area.  If you are going to put it on your desk, or work station you would probably want to consider a smaller Digital Photo Frame as this is more for a personal area.  For viewing in more open spaces around the home you likely will want a larger screen size.  Screens are measured much like those of your television that is to say a 15” screen is on the diagonal and does not mean a 15” square.  Like in your television also the higher the resolution numbers the better the viewing.  Keep in mind too your viewing angles.  Remember, with an LCD screen the greater the viewing angle the worse the colors will appear.

Another consideration is that if your frame is going to be primarily for family photos it may appear to be a show-offish to have too large of a frame.  If, however, your frame is to enjoy scenic, or nature shots, (that type of thing) a larger frame may well be very appropriate. Keep in mind also that the design look of your Digital Photo Frame will also add to it personality and the personality of the room.

Do I Select Wired or Wireless

The most common is certainly the wired types.  Photos can be transferred, downloaded by the use of your memory card, a USB cable connection, or even a wired system into your home system which allows free or pay loading from any number of sources.  Wireless photo frames are also now arriving in the market and if you are big into social networking and photo sharing sites this may well be the frame system for you.  When drilling down on a specific product read and compare its’ specifications to be certain it is offering you the features you are looking for.

Don’t Forget the Music

For those of you who remember the first Digital Photo Frames it may come as a surprise that music and sounds are now in vogue.  Your slide shows can now be put to music provided your MP3 audio and other devises.  Only your imagination will limit what you can do.  The most important considerations in this area are volume control levels, quality of sound and the methods in which music or sound can be loaded.  Again, read the reviews and product specifications to see if they are in line with your requirements.

Don’t Be Overwhelmed

Take your time in mapping your requirements.  It may well be that you should begin with a single Digital Frame and then add to your requirements.  Talk to your friends, family and Grey Fox to see what systems they may have or know of that will match your requirements.  If your into it … read product reviews, but at the very least read the product specifications.  They can give you some great tips on areas you may not have thought of.  For all of the stress it will be a great addition to your home or office of both.  Oh, I almost forgot.  Like many of your favorite programs, personal information, or any number of other items, be sure to store your digital photos on more than just one source.  We never know when disaster might strike so please do not put your memories at risk.  Take a few minutes and review some important information about devises for your Digital Photo Storage
